uredpiGB Basketball’s Senior Women’s team is hoping to continue to build on their growing reputation at Eurobasket 2025.

The 16-team tournament will take place between 18-29th June across four countries, Italy, Greece, Czechia & Germany.

GB will play a couple of friendlies, v Slovenia on June 5th and v Lithuania on June 12 before the competition proper – in Hamburg, and group D of the competition.

Golden State Valkyries’ WNBA star Temi Fagbenle (pictured above) will return as captain alongside accomplished presences such as Holly Winterburn and Savannah Wilkinson, and emerging talents like McKenzie Mathurin and Bo Guttormsdottir-Frost. 

In Game 1, GB will face Spain on Thursday June 19th. In Game 2, GB will face Sweden on Friday June 20th and hosts Germany, on Sunday June 22nd.

The tournament will be played with a limited edition version of Molten's BG5000 basketball...

"Anna Montanana is maybe going to have a rough ride at the helm in her first major tournament after that draw. To finish above her native Spain and Germany is going to mean the Brits having all their best ballers on board and also being able to find a higher gear. A rematch with Sweden will be interesting after narrow losses in the Qualifiers!

It just can't be a two-pronged campaign by the Brits that is led by Holly Winterburn and Temi Fagbenle. As good as they are, this won't be enough. If the Brits are to defy the odds and make the last eight, it's going to have to take something special from a deeper rotation. Who's got what it takes to play the role as third and fourth scorers?"
